Grease Lightning!

Yez I had a Sheila Old Style Dinner, to finish off an Old Style Week, during which I ate quite a lot of garbage (candy, cake, cookies). Yesterday I ate some shite during the day (like liquorice, chocolate, brownie), but my dinner truly topped it off.

DINNER
2 french fries (chips) - yup, I ordered two portions
1 frikadel speciaal (not in the mood to think of an apt translation, it's supposedly meat)
1 kroket (same here - it's *not* toast with cheese!)
curry sauce, garlic sauce

DESSERT
3/4 sausage (a specialty, it's dry, from Groningen - "metworst" or "droge worst") (ate a 1/4 day before)
2 nuts (candy bar)

Ain't that nasty? Oh, well, I didn't feel awkward afterwards (not physically nor mentally - although I had a really, really awful dream last night). Today I did another 10km, nice and slow (well, 60 min, plus about 20 sec). Yez I went to the gym with my brother. Second week in a row I did sports 4 times. Well well well!

Now I gotta go, have to translate. Today a year ago I had to go also - to the airport. Yez a year ago I got my M.Sc., today a year ago I went to New York City! Today a year ago I met Latte Guy. It's been a year. Geez.

T.R.A.N.S.L.A.T.E.
And later on, coffee with I.

It's too late...

... to hang about and do thingy things. You know, nothing. It's already 11pm, t'morrow another working day. Have to hang out the laundry, get stuff ready for tomorrow. (Whereas I wanna read a little, write a little, sleep a little, have another round of coffee, do some exercises to burn off the b-day cake and 4 cookies I ate (belly, bottom, blabla), etc., etc. Have fun!)

Last night I spent another lo-fi - er.. other record. Last night I spent in Latte Guy's arms. Doesn't that sound yuk? Ugh.. I know. Guess what though. It was LOVELY. The "I could get used to this"-sensation. You surely must know the kind of feeling. So here's the idea. I wanna get myself a Latte Guy for X-mas. I like this very specific, particular version. That sweet, smart, funny, yummy one. Wrap him up nicely, thanks. No, I don't need a bag. Oh please, no, don't need no receipt either. Well, thanks again, bye! (How come I didn't think of that before? D'OH!)

Hey, allow a girl her funny thoughts. Hihi (stupid grin on my face). Anyways, I could very much so get used to his skin against mine. Did I ever mention I love his chest? Oh well, I do. I'm glowing - it's so nice to enjoy "dates" like this every now and then.

Yeah, I'm still single, trust me. And yeah, I enjoy these eves/nights together HEAPS. And I plan on enjoying it loads more. Whatever name this sit has got: "Enjoy it while it lasts!" Now that's the spirit! Well, for now. Tomorrow I might start whining again. Hey! It's my blog! ;-)

Oops...

Oh, my. Just told you guys about Amber's romantic stories, with some sex on the side (yup, even warned ya). Just a mo ago, I surfed to her blog, coz I've finished reading the "beginnings" story and I was wondering if there'd be a new post. So. Her latest post: full on sex. Ah. Oops. Great timing to introduce you guys to her world, eh? Chuckle.

Anyways, I didn't mean to push your face straight into some hot story (although you might actually enjoy it, what do I know? ;-) If you're interested in the romantic story I mentioned, and just the romantic story, click here.

Blog Babe Amber

Via "next blog" (a button that keeps appearing in the right corner above), I've entered quite a few boooooooring as in B.O.R.ING blogs. Amber got me hooked, right away. And although I had to translate this weekend, I found myself reading the story of how it all began with her and hubby Dan a *lot* of times; like it was a pageturner - you just can't put it down. (What would be the apt word for an online story, a scrollrunner? ;-)

She's describing some sex scenes quite explicitly, so if you can't handle those, well, er... What can I say, I did warn you. Let this not scare you away from a truly romantic story though! Enjoy the world of Amber and Dan. Two visions on the same story.

Dear Santa...

Hm. It seems like a very bad thing to do, asking Santa stuff when you're healthy, got v. good friends, some relatives (like a great mum), a cute cat (albeit losing hairs like EVERYWHERE), enjoying sport loads (actively, obviously Ajax didn't please me v. much today, boohoo), etc. etc.

So I won't ask for surgical removal of faint memories or not so faint memories re: boring subject. And and and... Geez, get a grip. Come on, girl, can't you just live your life without the big L word? Even if I could, Santa, what about the goodies you get havin' a crush? Hm. Bugger. As I posted before, the days of solo sex will be over pretty soon when my arm refuses coop completely. Darn. Is it too late to become a left handed lady?

Weird though. I don't mind being on my own, why can't I just leave it at that and be happy? I guess it's a natural desire, to love and be loved... A bit unfortunate I keep falling for guys I can't get, ever since prevSig and I broke things off. So I guess it's like baseball or something. Two in (two prevSigs = previous Sigots = previous significant others), two out (Starbucks Man, Latte Guy). I guess it's obvious I'm clueless when it comes to the rules of baseball. Enlighten me, what'll happen next?

Funny thing is, I know there must be guys outthere glaring at me for the same reason (why did I fall for her, I can't get the bloody bleedin' woman, first she was endlessly pining over some f#%ing American, now over some other coffee guy, yada yada). We're all dancing our solo dances here. At one point in life, we might take an off key step, miss a step, or whatever, and suddenly walk into Double Ville, leaving Solo City behind. And then... Then we will pine over those days we could do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted, wherever we wanted (with whomever available). Haha.

It's all so clear and so well described by so many people before, even I am bored out of my skull when it comes to this subject. Ugh! If only I could decide to cut things off with Latte Guy and be on my own for real again (this is such a weird vague area in between, no man's land). Then at least I know what each and every day will bring. Sounds boring as well, eh? Between a rock and a hard place... Between the devil and the deep blue see.

Thing is, whenever we DO get to see eachother, it's like major fun. And sex, well, sex that makes you wanna call in sick, just to have another go. And that's me being subtle. So can't blame a girl for hanging in there, right. Right.

Geez I so am bored with this subject. I'm back at my first remark, right before I started this ranting bit. Can I get it surgically removed? D'oh, yeah, I know I should check out this new movie Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind or smthng. About this v. subject. And yes, I know I wouldn't want to lose my memories of aforementioned guys.

Only a few more weeks, and I'm off to Seville. Yes!! "I am going on a... summer holiday!" :-)

Market Research

Sometimes it really sucks (MR). Here's a result of a research "done" by food expert / professor called Wenzel (Manfred Wenzel, from Graz, Austria): men can drink a liter of beer a day, women about half a liter.

Apparently, you'll diminish the chance of having a stroke, also... (here goes) it makes you feel lusty. Also...One out of every 3 women and every 3 men, enjoys sex more because of these beers.

I wonder about the 2 out of three women and 2 out of three men though. Still the majority, right. The article doesn't mention what the effect is on them. What if... they start enjoying it half as much as they used to?

Let's just hope you're not so lucky to be the 'enjoying it more'-person when your partner is not.
MMMMM. Lust. Sex. Ugh. Let's not go there.

Still wondering... Did anyone ever do research on the effect of carpal tunnelsyndrom (or RSI or whatever abbrevs one might use) on singles? Just imagine. You're single, you're in pain, and you can't get solo sex on top of that. Where's the icing on the v. thin cake in this scenario?

Just a few words....

So much to tell, so little time ;-) Anyway. Really really REALLY planned on working some more tonite, yet it's already 9pm and I just can't get myself to do even one more page... Ugh.. Oh well... At least I did page 40-60. Not bad for a (re-)start.

Got to see Sonic Youth, met up with Tigra!! Woohoo! Real pretty girl, both nervous, fun though :-) Funny how we immediately recognized each other, the mo she walked in. Definitely got to meet up with her again! Funny (again) how you already know each other quite well, without ever having met IRL. That grande cup of coffee definitely should be our next 'meeting' (lack of better word). Maybe I could actually get to meet comicgrl as well! That would be cool.

Bumped into my first boyfriend :-) Standing in line for SY. "Hadn't expected to see you here," he frowned. "Did you like this kind of music er... back then?" Yes, I did! I know it's a sore spot somehow, he's remarked on it before, a few years back. God, he's still cute though. And very NOT available. As am I, coz I've still got this never ending crush (oh boy) on Latte Guy. Don't all things come to an end? Ugh, my future's lookin' bright. Pffffft. Wha...er, right. That's just me being cynical (automatic pilot).

Sonic Youth... Unlike Tigra and Comicgrl, I wasn't too happy about the whole show. Dunno. Maybe I didn't really get into it coz of the earplugs. Maybe I wasn't in the right mood? Anyway, unlike Comicgrl, I didn't like the jamming thing they did on stage. I was like: hey, gimme some of those lovely songs you've made! Quit jamming, you ain't in your freakin' cellar here damn it! Only the part in the middle, I liked that, for it was melodic. The first and last bit was quite... don't hit me... boring. Like, are you done yet? Ugh. Probably me. Should check out Zebra's vision on it too (me as well, haven't read it yet), or Vido's (same), bumped into them, they were there, they might say quite a few other things. Loved her shoes though. And apart from the first few off key words, her voice as well. Strange I never got to see GJ. Did see J and her b-friend S.

Also got to see 1) Porgy Franssen in De Nieuwe de la Mar (or whatever way you write these names). I felt like I was attending a Bij Nader Inzien reunion :-) Porgy's a real good story teller, yet a few times (about 3) the story got a bit ehm... how do you say that. Describing..?? Anyway, at those mo's he kind of lost me, but he always managed to pull me back in. I would recommend going to this Pianist der Oceanen / Novecento's story, so go figure. And guess what, I got to go with Latte Guy. Did I ever mention I truly like the feeling of his hand resting on my knee? My chin on his shoulder? Ugh. Having a crush can be Major Fun.

Also got to see 2) The Village, or did I already mention that? Hmm... V. good acting, nice pace (albeit on a too slow side every now and then), very thin plot. Once you know it, d'oh, it empties like a balloon. Subtle cameo by M. himself though (won't even try and spell Shamalyan or whatever his name is).

Did a 5k run last week, it was steaming hot and I was incredibly thirsty (and my arm hurts fucking major big time now, ouch). Sorry, gotto stop. Fuck, not funny :-(
